Technology

In nanopore sequencing, DNA is passed through tiny pores embedded in a membrane. Each base is identified by how it alters the ionic current as it moves through the pore. Because this method can generate ultra-long reads, it’s particularly effective for sequencing large or complex regions—such as plasmids, large insertions, structural variations, and repeat-rich sequences.

Workflow
