In nanopore sequencing, DNA is passed through tiny pores embedded in a membrane. Each base is identified by how it alters the ionic current as it moves through the pore. FAQ

How do I submit my samples for nanopore sequencing?

Once your order is successfully placed through the Quintara website, please print the order submission form, fold it so that the barcode is visible, and place it in a small bag with your samples. Then, deposit the bag into your nearest Quintara drop box, and our team will take care of the rest.

• For labeling your PCR tubes, please clearly mark the first tube of the strip with your initials followed by the last two digits of your Order ID. For example, if your initials are YZ and the Order ID ends in 42, label the first tube as YZ42. The second tube should be labeled as 2, the eighth tube as 8, and so on. Please refer to the image below for the correct labeling format. Do not write the actual sample names on the tubes.

• When submitting samples using 96-well plates, please ensure that there are no empty wells between samples, whether you are submitting by row or column. If using column numbering, label the first column (A01 as sample #1, H01 as sample #8). If using row numbering, label the first row (A01 as sample #1, A12 as sample #12).

What is the typical turnaround time for your Nanopore Sequencing service?: Our Nanopore sequencing service offers next-morning data delivery, with results typically available by 9am the following day. If you have not received your data by this time, please contact us promptly by emailing sales.us@quintarabio.com. This will allow us to provide an update and resolve any potential issues, ensuring no further delays in receiving your sequencing results. We operate 7 days a week to support your needs.
